About Diversum
Neurodiversity can be explained as the unique and natural variations of human brain and neurological development.
Neurodivergent people have neurodevelopmental differences in processing information, learning, communication, behavioural, social, and sensory differences, that can present as strengths and challenges in their roles and activities of daily life.
The goal of neurodivergent affirming therapy approaches is to accept and work with a person's brain differences by encouraging their strengths and supporting their challenges within their environment. It is about supporting a person and the people in their life to learn about neurodivergent identity, and advocacy.
Neurodivergent differences include, but are not limited to: autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), dyslexia, dysgraphia, bipolar, sensory processing disorder, Tourette syndrome, developmental language disorder (DLD).

"Our world is a better place when there is respect and acceptance that all brain types and personalities are valued contributors to society"
